Drive your way around Wakayama

In a group of 10, we spend 11 days in Osaka & Kyoto, Japan.  The trip this time although is slightly expensive, after all we did spend 11 days traveling from Osaka to Kyoto and from Kyoto to Shirahama, Wakayama.  It was a magnificent trip – sight seeing, visits to Japanese Temple, Museums and delicious fresh seafood.



The Taiji Whale Museum

Taiji Whale Museum in Taiji, Wakayama Prefecture.  It is located in the south of Nachi-Katsuura, Nachi and Shingu.  The museum is tells the whaling history of whaling in the local area.  And more than that, you can also visit and interact with the whales at the venue!

Tickets can be purchased at the entrance for 7,390 yen.


Kuroshio Market

The Kuroshio Market is a well-known fish market where you can eat and buy fresh Japanese fish. It is also a very popular spot among foreign tourists.  If you are a foodie, you will enjoy spending some time inside the market as well as the seafood was fresh and reasonable in price.
